Board Chair Announcement

OPB is pleased to announce the appointment of Geri Markvoort as the new Chair of our Board of Directors. Patricia Croft, who volunteered to take on the Acting Chair assignment until a permanent Chair was appointed, will remain on the Board as Vice-Chair and Chair of the Investments Committee.

A respected human resources executive and director with depth in strategic HR planning and management, Geri has more than 40 years' experience in large complex organizations from oil and gas to professional services. Geri was initially appointed to OPB's Board in 2015, serving most recently as Chair of the Human Resources Committee and as a member of the Governance Committee.

Geri's previous board experience has included governance roles as Chair of the Board of Governors, George Brown College; Chair of the Board, Dress for Success Toronto; and board member of Lawn Summer Nights and the Cystic Fibrosis, Toronto Chapter.

OPB appreciates Geri's continued leadership on the Board in her expanded role, and the contribution she will make towards the continued growth and success of the Public Service Pension Plan.
